USAID has supported over 50,000 fistula repair surgeries to women, but many still lack access to this critical surgery that can restore their sense of empowerment, their ability to work, and their role in their community. New findings in Nigeria and Uganda have identified key barriers to seeking fistula care and improve fistula programs as well as future steps to accelerate progress.
